~Finally Friday!~

It's Finally Friday!!!

 I can't believe how fast this week has gone by! It was nice, however a lot has happened this week! 

I have gotten the approval for a site to place a IC Support group meeting in my local area, since the one that was here, has moved! I can't express how happy this is making me this week. Most of us with IC feel so lonely, broken, tattered, and unwanted. This all comes from the fact that people in general have these opinions about us: 

• We don't look sick, so therefore we must be fine
• It's all in your head 
• A bladder disease can't be that serious
• Not enough awareness so, some doctors think your PSYCHO, or just don't believe it
• Mostly people don't understand or can't relate, if you tell someone you have cancer, then they get it, but IC isn't like that. Its rare, and that's part of the issue.

I understand that majority of people don't think this way, however it happens, and someone new with IC can go through hell for the first few months. So I want to make a difference, I want to be different and help! Not only am I listed at both my specialist's office and my family doc's office as a IC  Mentor and they know they can give my digits out to people who want a ear to listen or just for advice... So this first thing this week has been huge! Now to make flyers... Errr I'm not very artsy so we will see! Wish me luck! 

Second, I have realized we have less than 10 weeks until Christmas, and I have not started Shopping. I realize that is a long ways away, but I would still like to start, so I'm brainstorming ideas! However, I will wait until Thanksgiving to play Christmas music! 

Third, I can't wait for my work trip that I announced earlier this week! I am so lucky to have a job I love doing, and I get to travel as well. This will be my second big trip this year with the company, and third in the year I have been with them!!! 

Lastly, It's date night, and menu planning night! So I will post my menu for this next week this weekend, and well let's say I'm SOOOO happy that it's fall and Crock pot season!
