Happy New Year, Happy Friday, Happy Life...

Displaying photo.jpg

Okay if this isn't the cutest face ever to say Happy New Year to, then I don't know what is...

Sorry I was gone for a while. I had some time to my family for a while, and have been swamped at work. Not to mention trying to nurse my body back to health! It's working to the point I don't feel like I got ran over by a train anymore... so its a plus. I am feeling a little better, and started new medications... so double plus!

My Christmas was wonderful. Ham and I got spoiled... and well the FurChild got spoiled even more. Red dog has a HUGE bag of new toys including monkey and goose pictured above! Yay!

This is what spoiled looks like....

My couch after two Christmas's was completely cover and so was the counter behind it. I still have stuff to put away. It was nice to be spoiled... but seriously... everyone went over board. I got a Kindle Fire, kitchen gadgets , Cast Iron Skillet, new bedding and so much more...

My new Bedding!

This was probably my favorite. I got new sheets, new heated blanket, new heat pad, new comforter, and new throw for my bed. If ya all know me... Ya know I am always cold and love to snuggle. So I am very excited. It is so soft and so warm!

Now while I was gone I was admiring the gorgeous views and things in my area, such as...

I can't say enough about North Idaho and the amazing sunsets we have. It doesn't hurt the fact that I am lucky to live on one of the many great lakes in the area!

This weekend I am getting to spend more time with family and friends... Pictures and ideas to come!

Hope you all had a great holiday season and are off to a great new year!

On A Serious Note....

I am sorry I have been gone for the last week. I have not been feeling very well. This last week has been really rough for me. Since this blog is about my life, and the good and the bad... This post will be intense...

My IC has been really crazy on top of a new medication for it that is making me sicker than a pregnant lady in the first trimester. I am finally getting a nausea medicine  that will hopefully help with the the fact I don't want to eat, and when I do,  I get sick.

I am going to just lay it all out here, not because I have to, but because I can and I have nothing to hide.

I am 23 years old and now on a medicine that chemically induce's you into menopause. I have the body of a young  old woman, and the mind of a young confused person...

The sad part is I have been on it for the last two months. Its not working so they are increasing my dose the day after Christmas. I am on the medicine because it is suppose to help with my IC and to help determine if all the problems are strictly IC or to see if I could potentially have other issues going on as well.

So far I have been feeling okay except really nauseous and sore like I got hit by a freight train... No joke.

About a week ago I started noticing signs of a infection, I went in to the doctor and sure enough I am battling everything else now with a kidney and a bladder infection. The medicine they gave me for this is making the nauseous train ten times worse. At one point this week all I ate for the whole day was a single hard boiled egg and still felt sick... I know not the best diet but, its better than eating and feeling ten times worse than you do.

All I can say is, Interstitial Cystitis really does suck....

Seriously... I know its selfish to ask...But PLEASE?

Okay so I will stop ranting, I guess my point that I am trying to say is that I know its the holiday season, but everyone has things going on, and this time a year is rough on people who have lost loved ones, or aren't feeling good, or just don't have family to celebrate. So try to go that extra smile and tell people Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday's or even just smile... Ya never know It may make their day!

I am hoping I can ask all of you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers as we go through the holiday festivites, cause well lets face it, I hurt to walk and eat and move now as it is, let alone dealing with the stress as it gets closer.  The Man and I will be doing 3 Christmas's on Christmas day, and a total of 5 before the week is over.

Holiday Festive Friday...

Hello Lovelies...

Today is the Secret Santa Reveal.... that beautiful Allie  had came up with...

Now as of today, I still haven't received my secret Santa gift... However I sent mine, and she has shared about it!

I had the pleasure of gifting to beautiful Heather! I know she's in warm weather country, but I wanted to give her "winter goodies", I mean after all what girl doesn't like things you can pamper your self with?!

GO over and make sure you check her blog out... I have been spying reading from afar, and now I can officially follow!

Other than the secret Santa swap, I'm sorry I have been quiet this week. Things have been really crazy at work. I have some major deadlines coming up that I need to get pushed out.

Not to mention the whole body hating me thing has been miserable... So seriously... anyone wanna sell me a kidney for Christmas...? I will be forever grateful...

I found out my IC is back in full force as I try to partake in the festive activities and well... My body is not liking it... But it's Happy Friday, So more on this later...

I have a busy weekend ahead with Decorating the man's family tree tonight, our tree hunting tomorrow, and a hockey game! (YAYYY!) and Sunday Cookie making, Gift wrapping, and maybe shopping... Oh boy...

Wish me luck that I have a semi normal weekend! I hope you all have a good weekend, and remember as your out there preparing for holiday festivities the real reason of Christmas is not the gifts we give.... More the Memories and true meaning of it!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! I am so ready for today to be done and glad...

First thing First, Sorry I have been MIA, I have spent the last two days recaping other posts I had missed. I really have barely checked in since the 4th when I left for my trip. Things have been so crazy both at work and home.  I will try to post a get to know me recap for the days I have missed this weekend. But until then lets do some confessing!
  • I am so happy its Friday, even though my weekend is filled with Thanksgiving day prep, and cleaning and Christmas shopping, and catching ya all up on things!
  • I have signed up for the following and I can't wait to be apart of it...

  • I am horrible at picking out gifts so I am trying to find good gifts this year.... So if you have any ideas let me know!
  • I am Really sore this week I don't know if it is the fact that the weather out side is 8-10 degrees every morning but my kidneys and pacey are killing me....
Okay I will stop whinning now. I will be a good girl and get back to the million tasks that I need to do. I hope you all have a great Friday and a Great weekend!

Confessional Friday....

So Happy Friday everybody! I can't believe that today is the last Friday of the Year.... Holy. Crap. Where has this year gone to? Is it just me or do you feel like the year has flown by?
So I realized when looking at the calendar, today is the 25th of October... There are 2 Months until Santa comes! This is a scary thought for me, and also a happy thought... I keep telling the furchild of mine that he has to be good if he wants Santa to visit! Yes, I know this sounds crazy and makes me neurotic. I am slightly okay with this, while it makes the Man of mine worry... :) Hey People get to spoil their kids, why can't I spoil mine... yes he is a four legged furry creature, but he makes my heart melt!
photo 3.JPGphoto 2.JPG photo 1.JPG
Sleepin in sun      *   Oh mom your home *   I sit handsome for cookie!

I am loving the fact I get to go to NYC, but I'm also now starting to think about packing and its making me terrified. I have so much to get still and so little time. *Breathe* Okay, so maybe not that much, but when I travel I always freak that I forget stuff.. and being for work makes it that much more horrible for my nerves until I get on the plane.

I am excited to start the support group here locally for IC, However I am trying to come up with a good name and flyer Idea to hand them out. I have an appointment with the place of the meeting to secure everything this next week before I leave. So its nice to think that this is actually happening! If you have any ideas... Please share.

I have had a rough week pain wise so I am really glad it's Friday! Tonight I am carving pumpkins with the Man's family! It is something we have done every year. I am enjoy it.  Tomorrow is a date day, I have some Christmas/New York Shopping to do in the morning while the Man hunts, and then its a Sushi date for dinner and another hockey game! Tomorrows game is against the Portland Winterhawks, and well they are one of the best games for fights! Sunday I am going to veg, and Maybe jump in on the fun here!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Weekend Recap....

Weekend Recap!

Is it me or did it seem like this weekend went by way to fast?  Seriously, though it may have been the fact that something was going on every day this weekend!

One. Friday the man and I had a date at the Chiefs game. I will admit it is the one sport I go crazy for... Not to mention my voice being raw when we left because the REF's can't do their job... The guy behind me agreed. After intermission we both, oddly enough not planned, yelled "Hey Ref's, don't quit your day jobs!", Seriously they sucked. however we still won 4-2!  Yay, for first game of the year with the man... many more to come.

Two. Oddly enough date night on Friday was a mark of the third season that the man and I have been going. Our first date blind set up, was a hockey game! So they kinda our known for being a regular thing for us! But I am happy, as we start this season, which I think we can win, also the fact that this means another anniversary for the man and I is slowly creeping up on us!

Three. Saturday was a good day, I spent the morning deep cleaning, and winterizing the house. The man was out hunting, and its probably one of the last good weekends before snow flies... So I scrubbed everything top to bottom, on the inside. I also spent part of my morning menu planning. Saturday afternoon we grocery shopped! I came in under budget for this month! I was planning $300.00 and came in at $285! I wont need groceries (except milk) until near Thanksgiving! I am so happy!

Four. Saturday night, we had the Man's parents over for dinner, instead of us at their house. It was nice, and is a rare occurrence to have people over! We had a delicious dinner and watched a movie!

Five. Sunday I started window shopping for Christmas Ideas, and looking for things to take to NYC! The countdown is on... Less than Two WEEKS and this girl is on the EAST coast! Yes,... Caps because I am so excited, but yet so nervous!

Six. I am cookin' up some ideas for the IC awareness group that I am trying to start... I will share more when the pen is to the paper!

So there you have it... My weekend Recaps, This week I am linking up with with another blog... Here's to hoping to get seen!

~Finally Friday!~

It's Finally Friday!!!

I can't believe how fast this week has gone by! It was nice, however a lot has happened this week!

I have gotten the approval for a site to place a IC Support group meeting in my local area, since the one that was here, has moved! I can't express how happy this is making me this week. Most of us with IC feel so lonely, broken, tattered, and unwanted. This all comes from the fact that people in general have these opinions about us:
  • We don't look sick, so therefore we must be fine
  • It's all in your head
  • A bladder disease can't be that serious
  • Not enough awareness so, some doctors think your PSYCHO, or just don't believe it
  • Mostly people don't understand or can't relate, if you tell someone you have cancer, then they get it, but IC isn't like that. Its rare, and that's part of the issue.
I understand that majority of people don't think this way, however it happens, and someone new with IC can go through hell for the first few months. So I want to make a difference, I want to be different and help! Not only am I listed at both my specialist's office and my family doc's office as a IC  Mentor and they know they can give my digits out to people who want a ear to listen or just for advice... So this first thing this week has been huge! Now to make flyers... Errr I'm not very artsy so we will see! Wish me luck!

Second, I have realized we have less than 10 weeks until Christmas, and I have not started Shopping. I realize that is a long ways away, but I would still like to start, so I'm brainstorming ideas! However, I will wait until Thanksgiving to play Christmas music!

Third, I can't wait for my work trip that I announced earlier this week! I am so lucky to have a job I love doing, and I get to travel as well. This will be my second big trip this year with the company, and third in the year I have been with them!!!

Lastly, It's date night, and menu planning night! So I will post my menu for this next week this weekend, and well let's say I'm SOOOO happy that it's fall and Crock pot season!

Have a good Friday Ya' all! :)

Ho, HoHo, HoHoHo!

The  worst gift I have gotten I would have to say is when I was married to my ex husband, One year for christmas he bought me a bag of candy and a stuffed animal. (he is well off and just didnt want to do anything.)

My Favorite Christmas movie would have to be Jack frost/ Elf! I love the idea of the meaning of family in the Jack Frost movie, and I love how funny elf is!

Although I can't currently eat it, due to diet restrictions from "IC" I love my Grandma Ruth's Chocolate Whipped Cream pie! Its so yummy! I wish I could eat one slice this year! My Grandma used to own a pie bakery shop and this was a popular fave!

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas! This year has been full of changes for me, however I wouldn't change any of it. I am blessed to have family and friends, to be in a safe environment, and to have a good paying job in a state with low min-wage, I am blessed to be healthier than some, and always grateful! May Santa Bring you all that you want this year, and Remember the real meaning of Christmas. (ps don't forget to leave cookies out!)
